The consortium
HOPE was developed in response to urgent mental health needs within the criminal justice system, identified through collaborative discussions among experienced practitioners and trainers. All project partners are actively engaged in their local justice settings — as direct practitioners, trainers, reintegration and mental health specialists, justice educators and rehabilitation experts — ensuring a balance of practical experience and academic expertise.
Most partners are also members of Pact No 248 LiberateSkills — a Lifelong Learning European Pact for Correctional Excellence, coordinated by HOPE partner CPIP (Romania).

Hoppenbank e.V. is a non-profit organisation for independent offender support in Bremen. Its aim is to support those affected by delinquency, minimise social problems and highlight delinquency as a problem for society as a whole. Hoppenbank e.V. belongs to the CHANCE Network of local non-profits that support reintegration upon release.

A young organisation active in education, capacity building and lifelong learning, actively building communities of practice in justice and science communication. Interchange supports training and research for staff, community organisations and volunteers in rehabilitation, through-the-gate care and (re)integration into their communities.

CPIP operates across corrections advancement, urban security and the rule of law, partnering with European organisations specialising in prison environments and education systems.
